Camp Waratah Bay!
First Day:
On the 7th of August some of the grade 5/6’s went to Waratah Bay for 2 nights. On the way there we ate lots of lollies and watched a movie. When we got there we got split into 5 groups and then had our lunch, then we went for a walk on the beach to see the rock pools. Our day leader gave us a challenge in our groups. Each group had a bucket and had to collect certain animals. It was really fun.
Second Day:
On the second day we did all of our activities. The first activity that my group did was volleyball it was so much fun. The boys won one game and the girls won one game. The second activity that my group did was nitro crossing mixed with rock climbing. The nitro crossing is where we had to use the rope to get all our team across the fake river. When everyone is over we had to fill the bucket up with fake gold and then get it across the river without spilling.
The third activity was the rope wall. The rope wall is super fun. We had to get across the rope wall without falling. The fourth activity is where we had to find things around the camp site and right them down. The last activity was the giant swing. It was so much fun but when I went on it released to early and I got a big fright and started crying. After a few more people I had another go and it was the most fun I have had for a long time.
The Last Day:
On the last day we had breakfast and then we made a kite. We were meant to go and fly them at the beach but it was raining. After that we had to clean up all of our stuff and put it on the bus. Then we got onto the bus. On the way home some of us got bus sick. This bus driver was going too fast and didn’t slow down. We had to stop because to many people were sick. When we got back to school we had to get our stuff and wait for our parents to come and pick us up. When I saw my mum I ran up to her and gave her a big hug. I had the most fun I have ever had at a camp.
